Philosophy of Care I believe that therapy is most effective when the mind, body and spirit work together.
Brainspotting was discovered by David Grand in 2003 as a result of an EMDR session. Brainspotting accesses the areas of the brain where the deepest emotions and body experiences exist, often making changes that were formerly thought impossible. In addition to trauma effectiveness, Brainspotting facilitates pain management, performance anxiety, and sleep issues. Brainspotting taps into the individual's self-scanning and self-healing abilities, facilitated by the therapist's relational and neurobiological attunement capacity. EMDR: Extensive research has demonstrated highly effective outcomes of EMDR with trauma, performance enhancement and resolution of psychological blocks. EMDR accesses the natural healing abilities of the body using right/left brain stimulation, like REM sleep.
Faster EFT: Tapping on emotional acupuncture points on the body. This technique is especially useful for stress management.
Behavior/Cognitive Techniques: Changing belief systems is paramount to changing behaviors. I work with dysfunctional beliefs and help clients to experiment with new behaviors so that the body experiences actual change.
